The LGBTQ+ Culture Center will be open remotely 9 a.m.–5 p.m. from Monday, Dec. 22–Wednesday, Dec. 24 and 12–5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 2.

We will be open in person 9 a.m.–5 p.m. from Monday, Jan. 5–Friday, Jan. 9.

All-Gender Restrooms

All-gender restrooms are available in most IU buildings. Queer Student Union has created a Google Map that can help you locate them.

Gender Affirming Closet

People who are looking for free clothing for everyday use or special occasions are welcome to try on clothes and take them home, no questions asked!  There are no requirements for gender identity/expression, LGBTQ+ status, IU affiliation, or financial need.

LGBTQ+ Library Catalog

The LGBTQ+ Library offers an expansive collection of resources and materials for both research and entertainment purposes. Our searchable online catalog allows patrons to find materials by keyword, author, or title.

Connections & Community

A strong community is built on the foundation of our connections with others and with ourselves. Celebrate the theme of Connections & Community by connecting with knowledge and resources to care for yourself and through forming connections with others. Participate in programming to learn how to advocate for yourself and others, build new connections, and contribute to building a stronger IU community.  

The Speaking of Excellence Series

Each year, the Speaking of Excellence Speaker Series hosts keynote lectures from nationally and internationally recognized LGBTQ+ personalities who have achieved excellence and fame.

We invite Indiana University faculty, staff, students, and the community at large to participate in this series, which is designed to increase the acceptance and understanding of members of the LGBTQ+ community and address bias and discrimination.

As I celebrate being queer, poz, Black, partially deaf, and Caribbean; the LGBTQ+ community is a myriad of gender and sexual identities. It is important to recognize, celebrate, and value our multiple dimensions of identity that make up the LGBTQ+ community at Indiana University.
